Discover an integrated approach to healing & wellness

Healing occurs in the mind, spirit, and body. Any system of self-improvement that does not address all of these essential components of the human being is lacking in complete and balance healing!

We are physical, emotional, mental and spiritual beings and our health and healing is dependent on all of these factors.

How Can Nutrition Help Me?

Chronic disease is continuing to sharply increase in our society, and most physicians are not adequately trained to assess the underlying causes of inflammation. Functional medicine involves understanding the origins, prevention, and treatment of complex, chronic disease. Together, they use a combination of strategies including nutrition, diet and exercise – most importantly prevention. Through functional medicine, we  help patients suffering with migraines, diabetes, fibromyalgia, hormonal imbalance, and weight gain, along with many other conditions.

What You Eat & Drink Has a Profound Effect on Your Health

The food we eat and the supplements we take have a profound effect on our health and how our bodies function. If we eat too many processed foods, our bodies do not receive enough of the right nutrients to function right. It is important to include whole foods into your daily diet, including fruits and vegetables.

At the JustBlis, we practice functional medicine. Functional medicine is a holistic, research-based approach to healthcare. This patient-centered technique is different from traditional approaches to care.

Through functional medicine, we find the underlying cause of your condition instead of just treating symptoms. We look at many factors that contribute to your health. These include genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. Then we create an individualized plan that targets your specific needs — so you can achieve your best health possible!

We’re also big on education. We believe that if you understand what’s happening inside of your body, you’ll be better able to take charge of your health. We arrange for our members attend group or individual health education classes. Topics include nutrition, detox, etc. We also encourage our members to take regular fitness classes — and, yes, we offer all of these services.  Our #1 goal is to make you independent, and the best way to do that is through education and hands-on experiences.

Functional wellness often includes both traditional Western medical practices with alternative treatments. Your care may include following:

  • Evaluating blood work (functional analysis), saliva testing, and stool analysis
  • Nutritional counseling
  • Exercise
  • Traditional Chinese medicine
  • Physician-grade, whole food nutritional supplementation
  • Detoxification programs
  • Stress-management techniques such as yoga or therapy
  • Health education
  • Herbology
